In reply to Marilyn Groneng. The pretzel buns are certainly a bit more sturdy. Another thing you can try is baking them uncovered, or uncovered for the last 10 minutes or so. It allows the tops to crisp up. Enjoy!!

I have made these a gazillion times with King’s Hawaiian and they are so delicious BUT kind of a “mushy mess”. I can’t WAIT to try them with pretzel buns!!!! Just the solution to them being a bit mushy!

Hi Lynn! We did have a great time! We’re almost back to normal. The fridge broke while we were gone, so that was a mess! But it’s up and running again and hasn’t been cleaner since the day we bought it! LOL!! I get my pretzel buns at Aldi, and I’ve seen them at Meijer too. Do you have either on of those stores? I haven’t checked Costco or Sam’s, but you could try them too. They freeze just fine if you’re concerned about bulk buying. I think they are becoming more popular, because those stores haven’t always had them. Best of luck!! If you can’t find them, Onion buns are good too, and they’re larger–more man size. 🙂

Hey Chellie, first of all, I loved seeing all the photos of your adorable family in Universal Studios. Looks like a fun time was had by all!
Second, this pretzel sliders would make the men in my family SOOOO happy this weekend. Just curious, where do you find your pretzel rolls? I’m not sure I’ve seen them in my neck of the woods.
