Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken
The best way to cook a whole chicken in your crockpot.
- 1 whole chicken gizzards removed
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 5 Fresh sage leaves
- 5 springs fresh rosemary
- 10 sprigs of fresh thyme
Crumple up 4-5 pieces of foil and place it on the bottom of your slow cooker
Place the chicken on top.
Rub the oil to coat the chicken well.
Sprinkle salt and pepper
Add fresh herbs
cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 2-4 hours.
You can use any combination of herbs that you like.
Use more or less herbs depending on your tastes.
Dried herbs can be used in place of fresh, use 1 teaspoon of each. Dried herbs are much more potent, so you don't need as much. Start with a teaspoon and add more or less depending on your preference.
