Chai Tea
A delicious homemade version of chai tea made in the slow cooker with fresh ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.

- 2 quarts of water
- 8 premium black tea bags
- 16 slices of fresh ginger peeled
- 16 whole cloves
- 16 cardamom seeds
- 8 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup of honey OR 3 1/2 TBS of Truvia
Place all ingredients in the slow cooker.
Cook for 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
Strain the tea in a fine mesh sieve
Once the tea is cooled, pour it into a jar(s).
Refrigerate.
To prepare the tea latte, mix half tea and half milk.
Heat and serve.
