Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken

The best way to cook a whole chicken in your crockpot.

Equipment

  • crockpot

Ingredients

  • Foil
  • 1 whole chicken gizzards removed
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 Fresh sage leaves
  • 5 springs fresh rosemary
  • 10 sprigs of fresh thyme

Instructions

  • Crumple up 4-5 pieces of foil and place it on the bottom of your slow cooker
  • Place the chicken on top.
  • Rub the oil to coat the chicken well.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper
  • Add fresh herbs
  • cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 2-4 hours.

Notes

You can use any combination of herbs that you like. 
Use more or less herbs depending on your tastes.
Dried herbs can be used in place of fresh, use 1 teaspoon of each. Dried herbs are much more potent, so you don't need as much. Start with a teaspoon and add more or less depending on your preference.
