The Best Almond Joy Smoothie

Dark chocolate, almonds and coconut with a punch of protein ~ this healthy almond milk smoothie is just what you need to satisfy your sweet craving and fuel your body. What could be better?

Equipment

  • Vitamix or blender

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups plain Greek nonfat yogurt
  • 1 scoop 100% pure whey protein isolate
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate almond milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 tsp coconut extract
  • 12-15 ic cubes
  • 1 tsp shaved dark chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Top with shaved dark chocolate if desired.

Notes

For shaved dark chocolate, you can use a dark chocolate bar and grate it.  I prefer to use an 80% cocoa.
